Grandparent Love

In honor of Grandparents Day last week, this blog is for the grandparents.

Anecdote #1: The other day Carter and I were watching the final round of Family Feud and the contestants happened to win $20,000. So we both started cheering, "Twenty Thousand Dollars, Twenty Thousand Dollars!!"
Me: What would you do if you had twenty thousand dollars?

Carter (6 yrs old): Oh my goodness. I would take Papa D out for some ice cream!
Anecdote #2: A few days ago, Bryan had taken a sick day from school so I picked up Carter. When he got in the car I was asking him how his day was and what he thought of the substitute he had for Art class.
Me: So did you have a good substitute for Art today?

Carter: She was a girl!

Me: Yes, but was she a good teacher?

Carter: Well, I thought she was kinda cute.

Me: What?! Was she real young?

Carter: Mmm, she was older than Daddy. She was Mama D's size. And she was really nice like Mama D.
Turned out the substitute he had was the mother of one of the regular teachers at his school. And Bryan verified that she was very Mama D-like. :)
